My family home on Potomac St. in South St. Louis
Cleveland High School, South St. Louis, Missouri
Hi and welcome to my zone.
I grew up on the troubled streets of South St. Louis. I lived in this small house with my family for 18 years.
After graduating from Cleveland High School I got a job working on freight trains for the MoPac/Union Pacific railroad as a Switchman/Brakeman. Over the next 9.5 years I'd work from Kansas City to Dupo Ill and from St. Louis to Little Rock Arkansas. I worked the "Extra board" which meant I had to carry a beeper and be at work within 2 hours of being paged. The railroad never stops so I was on call 24/7 - winter, spring, summer and fall. During these years I put myself through college at Southeastern Missouri State University. In the spring of '87 I moved from Cape Girardeau, MO to Boston and started graduate school at Emerson College. I never moved back.
